Discover the secrets of Hostalric and enjoy its Medieval Fair

Hostalric, antigua capital del vizcondado de Cabrera, y su impresionante fortaleza se visten de gala para celebrar su popular Feria medieval. Durante el fin de semana el interior de las murallas se convierte en un gran y colorido mercado “medieval”, mientras que la imponente fortaleza acoge diversos espectáculos y una exposición de instrumentos de época.

The guided tour through the village will allow us to approach the history of the village and discover some of its most interesting corners (the walls, the main street, the Relliguer cave, the Torre dels Frares, etc.).

Easy hiking following the course of the Tordera River

La ruta del “Parc de les Rieres”  es un agradable paseo que, pasando por el antiguo molino y por las huertas, nos permite disfrutar de la naturaleza mientras seguimos el curso del río Tordera para volver de nuevo al recinto medieval. Una ruta fácil, circular y llana casi 5km de longitud y poco desnivel que permite disfrutar del patrimonio fluvial y de las plantaciones agrícolas.

The route of the “Parc de les Rieres” is a pleasant walk that, passing through the old mill and orchards, allows us to enjoy nature while we follow the course of the river Tordera to return back to the medieval enclosure. An easy, circular and flat route, almost 5km long and with little unevenness that allows us to enjoy the fluvial heritage and the agricultural plantations.

THE PLAN:

– 9h: We will meet at Plaza Universitat to take our private bus.

– 10h: Arrival at Hostalric and time for breakfast

– 10.30-12.30h: Nice and easy circular walk along the banks of the Tordera (5km)

– 12-13.30h: Guided tour of the town

– 13.30-18h: Free time to eat (you can bring food from home, eat in a bar/restaurant or eat in the medieval market) and enjoy the Medieval Fair

– 18: Return bus and arrival in Barcelona around 7:00 p.m.
