DATE: January 28 at 8 a.m.
La Vall de Llémena is one of the most beautiful and unknown places in Catalonia. An unaltered natural environment dotted with beautiful farmhouses next to the city of Girona. In the valley of the river Llémena, delimited by imposing mountains, we find small and charming towns such as Sant Aniol de Finestres, Sant Esteve de Llémena, Sant Martí, or Llorà; beautiful farmhouses, strong houses, Romanesque hermitages and sanctuaries such as Santa Afra; volcanoes (the corn del de Buc); caves (Rocafesa i Boratuna); and pools (Canet d’Adri).
A very complete excursion that includes visits to several villages (Llorà, Sant Martí, Rocafort, Sant Esteve and Sant Aniol de Finestres), as well as a pleasant and easy one-hour walk along the banks of the Llémena river.
– VISIT LLORÀ, SANT MARTÍ, ROCAFORT, SANT ESTEVA AND SANT ANIOL DE FINESTRES
We will visit some of the small villages that make up the beautiful Llémena valley (Llorà, Sant Martí, Rocafort, Sant Esteve and Sant Aniol) and discover their hidden treasures: Romanesque churches, a small castle, fortified houses, etc.
– EASY WALK ALONG THE LLÉMENA RIVER VALLEY
A pleasant walk of 4 km (1 hour) along the banks of the Llémena river that will allow us to enjoy a unique landscape: on one side, the emblematic Rocacorba. On the other side, the imposing chain of La Barroca.
We will have lunch in Sant Esteve de Llémena (option to eat together at the restaurant El Cabrit, menu 30 euros).
