Enjoy a pleasant and complete visit to Hostalric, a town of medieval origin located on an ancient volcano and protected by a spectacular military fortress from modern times. The tour includes a guided visit to the impressive military fortress that crowns the town, as well as an exclusive visit to the Antic Molí, an old flour mill and workshop/refuge of the artist from Palencia, Tino Revilla. We will also enjoy a nice, gentle one-hour walk along the banks of the Tordera River, which as it passes through Hostalric gives us corners of great beauty.

– GUIDED TOUR OF HOSTALRIC AND ITS IMPRESSIVE MILITARY FORTRESS

This is a very complete guided tour that will allow us to discover the most outstanding corners and monuments of the medieval enclosure of Hostalric, among which are the Cova del Relliguer (spectacular grotto 26 meters long), the walls, the Torre dels Frares (from the top of the tower we will enjoy the best panoramic view of the village and its surroundings), the church of Santa Maria dels Socors, etc..

The tour also includes a guided visit to the spectacular fortress located at the top of the village. It is a military fortress built on an irregular terrain with the typical defensive elements of the time. Its bomb-proof gallery is considered one of the most spectacular areas of the castle and one of the most unique in Catalonia. The highest part occupies the site of the old medieval castle of the Cabrera family. Through the Interpretation Center it is possible to take a journey through time to learn about the functions and transformations that this monument has undergone throughout its history.

This is a nice and pleasant one-hour walk along the banks of the river Tordera, which as it passes through Hostalric gives us great corners. The walk does not present any type of technical difficulty.

– EXCLUSIVE VISIT TO THE ANTIC MOLÍ, HOUSE-WORKSHOP OF TINO REVILLA

During our walk along the banks of the Tordera, we will have the opportunity to stop for a while at L’Antic Molí, an old flour mill in a very good state of preservation and current home-workshop of the artist Tino Revilla, who will show us how the old mill works, as well as his workshop and part of his work.
