The Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes, founded by Queen Elisenda de Montcada in 1327 and inhabited by Poor Clare nuns almost uninterruptedly until 1983, is one of the most beautiful and interesting monuments of Barcelona.
During the guided tour of the monastery we will have the opportunity to learn about its history and discover the beautiful church, the kitchen, the refectory, the nuns’ cells, the dormitory, the enormous cloister, the chapel of San Miguel -one of the most important Gothic paintings of the time-, the curious tomb of Queen Elisenda de Montcada, the chapter house, etc.
An excellent opportunity to visit in depth one of the most important and unknown Gothic enclosures in the country.
