Medieval villages of Empordà I: walk from Peratallada to Pals

Enjoy a very pleasant and completely flat 9km walk through the interior of Empordà, Catalan Tuscany, and visit with an official guide three of the most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia: Peratallada, Palau-sator and Pals.

PERATALLADA
Peratallada is probably the most well-preserved medieval town in the entire Bajo Ampurdán. Declared a Historical-Artistic Site due to the enormous architectural wealth it preserves, walking through its cobblestone streets full of flowers is a pleasure for the senses.

PALAU-SATOR
Palau-Sator is another medieval town with a feudal urban layout, with small streets of medieval origin that seem to have frozen in time.

PALS
Pals is, without a doubt, the most famous and touristic medieval town in the beautiful Empordà. Dominated by the Torre de les Hores, the medieval neighborhood of Pals offers one of the best panoramic views of this area of the Costa Brava.

THE PLAN

• 8.30h: We meet at Plaza Universitat (main entrance to the UB) to take our private bus. Stop for breakfast during the journey.
• 11h-11.30h: Guided tour in Peratallada
• 11.30-14.30h: 9km walking excursion along flat and easy paths until you reach Pals. During the journey we will visit Palau-Sator and Fontclara.
• 14.30-16.30h: Arrival in Pals and free time for lunch. Option to eat together at a Pals restaurant
• 16.30-17.30h: Guided tour in Pals
• 17.30h: Return coach, arriving in Barcelona around 7:30 p.m.
