DATE: February 27th from 10am to 1pm
Enjoy a guided walk with the best views of Barcelona, visit the “bunker” of Carmel and crown three of the most emblematic hills of Barcelona: the Creueta del Coll, the Carmel and the Rovira.
A spectacular tour that will allow you to enjoy another Barcelona and discover the history and secrets of the so-called “bunker” of Carmel, a privileged heritage space where the remains of the main anti-aircraft battery built during the Civil War to try to defend Barcelona from the attacks of fascist aviation are preserved.
– First hill: “Turó de la Creueta del Coll” (245 meters)
The “Turó de la Creueta” also known as the “Turó d’en Falcó”, looks like a volcano because this mountain was used for many years as a quarry.
– Second hill: Turó del Carmel (266 meters)
The least known of the three. Halfway up stands the sanctuary of the “Mare de Déu del Coll”, with a Romanesque bell tower and nave. Incredible views from the top of the hill.
– Third hill: Turó de la Rovira (262 meters)
With a 360º view over the city, the Turó de la Rovira is a privileged natural viewpoint and was a strategic location for the defense of Barcelona during the Civil War (the famous “bunkers” of the Carmel are here).
