Hostafrancs, which owes its name to a 19th century inn, was part of the village of Sants until 1839, when it became part of Barcelona. Located between Plaça Espanya, Carrer Creu Coberta, Gran Via and Carrer Tarragona, the Hostafrancs neighborhood, whose squares are reminiscent of the old vila de Gràcia, is a residential and commercial area – Carrer de la Creu Coberta is full of small stores – with a markedly popular character.
La Font de la Guatlla is one of the most unknown and surprising neighborhoods of Barcelona. Located at the foot of the mountain of Montjuïc, in this small enclave we find from the great modernist factory of Casaramona -currently Caixafòrum- to charming streets formed by centenary houses.
