Sarrià, the last village to be annexed by Barcelona (1921), still retains a certain popular air, when it was a village of artisans, with agricultural areas and large mansions of rich people from Barcelona who went to spend the summer there.
During the guided tour we will discover the history of the neighborhood, we will learn curious anecdotes and we will walk through some of the most emblematic corners of Sarrià, an old town that has remained true to its essence.
The itinerary will help us to know the history of the neighborhood and discover emblematic corners such as:
– Calle Major, the backbone of the neighborhood.
– The Casa Orlandai, the current civic center.
– Beautiful squares, among them the smallest in Barcelona
– The Tomás bar and the mythical Foix pastry shop, much more than just a store.
– The church of Sant Vicenç
– The beautiful gardens of the Vil-la Amèlia
– Works by Gaudí, Puig i Cadafalch…
